Mold Repair Machine Usage: It is equipment to repair cracks caused by frequent thermal expansion and contraction of mold in continuous production of copper plate in Copper smelter.

Differentiation from Competition

At present, the mold repair method of competitors is proceeding after detachment on the turntable, but research and development on the repairable method in the continuous production process is under way.

At the copper smelter, the mold rotates the turntable to produce copper plates, Production produces small cracks (due to frequent thermal expansion and contraction) In the case of cracks, molds are replaced with new molds and then copper plates are produced. Damage to the molds due to cracking of the molds is due to the cost of production of new molds, production schedule and delivery time delay, and defective products. To reduce the cost and improve the production efficiency, we developed a device to repair the crackswithout lowering the mold on the turn table.

A mold or mould is a hollowed-out block that is filled with a liquid or pliable material such as plastic, glass, metal, or ceramic raw material. The liquid hardens or sets inside the mold, adopting its shape. A mold is the counterpart to a cast. After periods of use, casting moulds are subjected to thermally induced stresses from molten metal and cooling water and probably side reaction with the anode copper and impurities. Hence the main signs of wear are intercrystalline cracks and corrosion, as well as mould distortion. With a crack, problems as follow happen.
